Join to apply for the senior frontend developer – Team Helios role at Politie Nederland .
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for the development (dev) and maintenance (ops) of the Helios application, in collaboration with a team including the Product Owner, a tester, information analysts, frontend developers and backend developers.
- Contribute to demos of what has been achieved per release.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (one week at a time), being reachable outside office hours when required, and ensure the application remains available during incidents.
What you will work on
The Helios custom application supports collecting and analysing police data. This information is used across the organization to help make informed decisions in crime prevention and response.
Where you will work
You will join the Productiehuis within the ICT Department of the police, operating in an Agile/Scrum environment. You will work in the Business Intelligence product line, which builds tools to meet the information needs of the police. The team works closely with users to rapidly deliver new functionalities.
We expect you to be able to work on location in Utrecht (Papendorp) at least 1 or 2 days per week. Remote work is also possible from home or a police location near you. The team, together with the PO, will decide what is needed to optimize collaboration.
Who you are
You are a frontend developer with a fresh perspective who sees change as a challenge. You are motivated to continuously improve service delivery, with an entrepreneurial mindset and creative approach. You can understand and manage a complex environment independently and want to contribute to police work. You have experience with Agile, Scrum, and DevOps, can organize your tasks well, like sharing knowledge, and are comfortable asking critical questions.
Qualifications
- HBO (bachelor) level work and thinking能力
- Minimum 5 years of experience with HTML/CSS, Angular (15+), TypeScript, JavaScript and end-to-end testing (Cypress, Jest, Playwright)
- Experience with the following topics is important:
- REST-API
- NX for Angular
- RXJS
- NGRX state management
- GIT
- D3JS
What we offer
Location: Utrecht. 4 FTE positions. Minimum 32 hours per week. We offer extensive development opportunities and a permanent contract with a one-year probationary period.
- Gross monthly salary of at least €4,293 and up to €6,299 (scale 11 Bbp) based on a 36-hour week.
- Individual Choices Budget (IKB) with two parts: a gross portion (17.86% of salary) for choosing benefits, and a net portion of €377 per year for sustainability, union contributions, and vitality.
- Good pension scheme and paid parental leave.
The formal function within the police’s job classification is bedrijfsvoeringspecialist C (ICT domain).
